FP2000: Preview in Browser Command Is Missing from the File Menu (265054)

SYMPTOMS

When you click the File menu in Microsoft FrontPage 2000, the Preview in Browser command may be missing, and you therefore cannot open any webs.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if Microsoft Internet Explorer is damaged or missing.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, reinstall Internet Explorer. To install Internet Explorer, follow these steps:
  1. Insert your FrontPage 2000 CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of your computer.
  2. Click Start, and then click Run.
  3. Type the following path

    drive:\ie5\en\ie5setup

    (where drive is the letter name of your CD-ROM drive) in the Open box in the Run dialog box, and then click OK.
