Error Message: An Internal Error Occurred in Phone Dialer (264857)

SYMPTOMS

When you view the call log in Phone Dialer, you may receive the following error message:
An internal error occurred in Phone Dialer.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if the Calllog.txt file is damaged or if the file contains invalid entries.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, rename the Calllog.txt file in the Windows folder, quit Phone Dialer, and then restart Phone Dialer. When you do this, a new Calllog.txt file is created and you can view the call log without receiving the error message mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
