XCCC: Unable to View T.120 MCU Server from System Manager MMC Snap-In (264763)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to manage your Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing site, the T.120 Multipoint Control Unit (MCU) server may not be displayed when you click the Data Conferencing Service object.

CAUSE

The T.120 MCU server was installed before the Conference Manage Service (CMS) was installed into the Windows 2000 site. As a result, the MCU server did not register itself with the CMS, and is not known. Therefore, it is not displayed.

RESOLUTION

If you uninstall and re-install the T.120 MCU server, the server will register itself with the Windows 2000 site-specific Conference Management Service, and is displayed and you can then manage it in the Microsoft Management Console.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
