OL97: "Show Names by" Option Is Not in the Properties of the Outlook Address Book (264739)

SYMPTOMS

When you view the properties of the Outlook Address Book, you may not see the option to Show names by either First Last (John Smith) or Files as (Smith,John).

CAUSE

This issue can occur if the Contab32.dll file is version 8.03 or earlier.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, update the Contab32.dll file to version 8.04 or later. This version of the file is included with the Outlook 97 archive patch. You can download the Outlook 97 archive patch from the following Microsoft Web site:
