Windows Explorer in Folders View May Cause Selected Folder to Open in New Window (264728)

When you are using Windows Explorer with the Folders Explorer bar enabled, opening a folder in the right pane may cause that folder to be opened in a new window. All child windows of the parent continue to exhibit this behavior until you close the parent window and all child windows, and you start a new instance of Windows Explorer.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs if the Launch folder windows in a separate process check box is selected on the View tab in the Folder Options dialog box.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue:
- Start Windows Explorer.
- On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
- Click the View tab.
- Click to clear the Launch folder windows in a separate process check box, and then click OK.
