SUMMARY

Exchange 2000 Server uses Microsoft Search service (MSSearch) technology to create full-text indexes. This technology gives the Exchange 2000 store powerful full-text search capability. Full-text search works by maintaining an index of words that are contained in each document. When you search for a word, Exchange 2000 looks up the word in the full-text index.
