Accessibility Toggle Keys Do Not Play a Tone on Computers Without PC Speaker (264568)

SYMPTOMS

After you select the Use ToggleKeys check box in the Accessibility Properties dialog box, no tone may be played when you press CAPS LOCK, NUM LOCK, or SCROLL LOCK.

CAUSE

Typically, a sound is played on the PC speaker when you press any of these keys. However, on computers without a PC speaker, a .wav file should be played instead. This does not occur with the ToggleKeys feature.
