SUMMARY

This article describes how to import all the settings from a previous Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) package.

MORE INFORMATION

You may want to deploy a custom package that is nearly identical to a previous build, with a few changes such as different proxy settings for a different site.

IEAK includes an option to import an .ins file from a previous build. However, the .ins file does not contain all of the settings that you can configure in IEAK. For example, system policies and restrictions are not set by using the .ins file.

To import all of the settings from a previous package, copy the entire INS folder from the destination folder (this is the folder that you specify on the fifth screen in the IEAK Wizard [stage 1--File Locations]) from the previous package into the destination folder for the new package, and then run the IEAK wizard.
