MORE INFORMATION
The Hong Kong government has determined a need for an additional set of approximately 5,000 characters (the Hong Kong supplementary character set, or HKSCS) to be used in addition to the traditional Chinese character set standard (BIG5, also known as the Windows ANSI code page for Traditional Chinese, or CP950). Of the 5,000 characters, roughly 2,600 are included in Unicode 3.0.
