SYMPTOMS
When you run Windows 98 Setup on a Chembook 2700 computer, you may receive the following error message:
Windows Protection Error. You need to restart your computer.
CAUSE
This issue can occur if the Disk Timeout setting is enabled in Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) of your computer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, consult the manufacturer's BIOS documentation about how to change the Disk Timeout setting. You can also download the latest version of BIOS from the following Chembook Web site:
