Microsoft Word 2000 stops responding when you are performing basic operations such as opening a document that was created in Microsoft Word 95 or Microsoft Word 97, editing, counting words, or scrolling.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if all the following are true:
- The document contains a bulleted or numbered list.
- Track Changes is on.
- A list item contains deleted text.
- The deleted text is marked as hidden.
