The NetMeeting ActiveX control cannot be instantiated in a Microsoft Visual C++ application. If you try to insert the ActiveX Conferencing object on a Windows-based dialog application, the following error messages appear:
The ActiveX control cannot be instantiated.
"ActiveX Conferencing Object" is not a valid ActiveX control. It is missing a required interface.
RESOLUTION
The AvPhone3 sample in the NetMeeting 3.1 SDK shows how to use the ActiveX control. The sample is available from the following Microsoft Web site:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
