OL2000: Error Message When You Install the Outlook E-mail Security Update Without Office 2000 SR-1 Installed (263197)

When you attempt to apply the Outlook E-mail Security Update, you receive one of the following error messages:
This update can only be applied to Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 products. Please update all of your Office 2000 products to the SR-1 level.
The Expected version of Microsoft Office 2000 was not found on this system.
When you click OK, the security update is not installed.
CAUSE
You may receive the first error message if you attempt to install the Outlook E-mail Security Update to an installation of Microsoft Office 2000 that has not been updated to Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 or later. You may receive the second error message if you attempt to install the Outlook E-mail Security Update to an installation of Microsoft Office earlier than Microsoft Office 2000.
RESOLUTION
