SUMMARY

You cannot add user and file data source name (DSN) resources to Application Center 2000 applications.

MORE INFORMATION

One type of resource that can be added to an Application Center 2000 application is a DSN. There are three types of DSNs: system, user, and file. The only DSNs that are displayed in the Application Center 2000 user interface when you are defining an application are system DSNs. This is generally the recommended DSN type to use with server/Web-based applications. If you want to replicate user or file DSNs, you can always rely on the registry and file resource types to accomplish this.

You can also use "DSN-less" connections, where possible, to avoid the need to define and replicate separate DSNs with your application.
