FIX: VS6 SP4 BETA: Does not update Oleaut32.dll and Msvbm60.dbg (262907)

SYMPTOMS



When you install the beta build of Visual Studio 6 Service Pack 4, the files Oleaut32.dll and Msvbm60.dbg are not updated correctly. The debug files Oleaut32.dbg and Msvbm60.dbg do not match the release or nondebug versions of Oleaut32.dll or Msvbm60.dll.

RESOLUTION

Install the Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 4 released-to-market version.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 4 beta. This bug was corrected in the next service pack for Visual Studio 6.0.
