PPT2000: How to Play a Sound Throughout a Slide Presentation (262859)

In Microsoft PowerPoint 2000, you have ability to play sound or video throughout the duration of a presentation.
To turn on this functionality, follow these steps:
- In PowerPoint 2000, open a slide presentation.
- On the first slide of the presentation, point to Movies and Sounds on the Insert menu, and then click Sound from File.
- Select the sound file that you want and click OK.
Notice that the sound clip has been inserted into the slide. - Right-click the sound clip, and then click Custom Animation.
- On the Multimedia Settings tab, click Play using animation order.
- In the While playing section, click Continue slide show.
- In the Stop playing section, click After x slides, where x is the number of slides that will continue to play the associated sound file.
- Click OK to save the settings.
- Using your mouse pointer, drag and drop the sound file to the right of the first slide (into the gray area beside the slide) so that the sound-file image is not visible on the presentation.
