SYMPTOMS

The Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA) Card Service AdjustResourceInfo does not function on Microsoft Windows 95- and Microsoft Windows 98-based computers; the service just returns, with no effect on the resource settings.

CAUSE

In Windows 95 and Windows 98, AdjustResourceInfo was not implemented in Pccard.vxd, which is the system component that provides Card Services support.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
