SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Windows 95 and Microsoft Windows 98, when you insert a CD-ROM in a CD-ROM drive, the Size and FreeSpace properties for the CD-ROM drive instance of the Win32_LogicalDisk class are null.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

This issue does not affect Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 or Microsoft Windows 2000.
