Media Player Displays Track Lists Incorrectly for Boxed Sets (262053)

SYMPTOMS

When you play a multiple-disc music CD set in Windows Media Player 7 or 7.1, you see the playlist for disc 1, no matter which disc is inserted in the CD-ROM drive.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, load the appropriate disc playlist by using the Find Music feature:
  1. In Media Player, click the CD Audio tab.
  2. Click Get Names, and then click Next.
  3. Type the artist name, and then click Next.
  4. Click the artist name when it appears, and then click Next.
  5. Find the album you are trying to play, and then click Next.
  6. The album should now be separated into the appropriate number of discs. Click the disc number you want, and then click Next.
  7. The playlist for your disc is displayed. Click OK.
