FP2000: FrontPage Can No Longer Open Webs from UNC After SR-1 Is Applied (261980)

SYMPTOMS

After you install Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1), when you attempt to open or save to a Web with a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) location, you receive the following error message:

An unexpected error occurred accessing your FrontPage web files.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install the FrontPage Server Extensions Service Release 1.2 update on the client computer. If a Web server resides on the server computer, install the FrontPage Server Extensions Service Release 1.2 update on the server computer.
