The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition
This article was previously published under Q261920 SYMPTOMS
When you upgrade to Windows Millennium Edition (Me) and install a Hewlett-Packard (HP) C200 Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) driver, and then attempt to download an image by using an Independent Hardware Vendor (IHV) driver after using the WIA driver, you may receive the following error message:
Camera not responding. Please make sure that it is powered on, set in play mode, connected to the computer and try again.
CAUSE
This issue can occur when the IHV driver and the WIA driver conflict with each another.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, first use the WIA driver to download the images, and then power-cycle the camera and reconnect it to the computer before you use the IHV driver.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition.
