Epson Photo PC 500 Using Battery Power Requires COM Port Adjustment (261823)

When you use the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) drivers to transfer pictures from the Epson PhotoPC 500 that is running on battery power, the transfers are erratic or incomplete.
CAUSE
This issue occurs because when the camera is running on batteries, the serial port is too slow.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, change the port settings:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click System, and on the Device Manager tab, click Ports.
- Click the COM port the camera is attached to.
- Click Properties, click Port Settings, and then click Advanced.
- In the Receive Buffer list, click Low.
- In the Transmit Buffer list, click Low.
