SYMPTOMS

If you perform a file search for the Desktop.ini or "Briefcase Database" files, the files that are located in the Windows\Desktop\My Briefcase folder display inaccurate properties in the Search Results listing.

The Size and Type columns are blank, and a value of 1 KB is listed in the Modified column.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
