SYMPTOMS

After you successfully install a Hewlett-Packard (HP) ScanJet 5100 scanner on a computer running Windows Millennium Edition, you may find that you cannot scan an image, and the computer may stop responding and need to be restarted.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact Hewlett-Packard for updated software for your scanner.
