Cannot Use Casio WIA Camera Drivers and Casio IHV Camera Drivers Simultaneously (261745)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition
This article was previously published under Q261745 SYMPTOMS
If you install both the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) drivers and the Independent Hardware Vendor (IHV) drivers for Casio cameras and then attempt to use both, you may receive a message indicating the "camera is not responding." This happens for all supported Casio cameras. NOTE: The list of device drivers supported in Windows Millennium Edition is found at the following Web site:
Click the link "WIA Device Drivers Shipping in Windows Millennium Edition"
WORKAROUND
To open the camera using the manufacturer's drivers after you have used the WIA drivers, turn the camera off and then back on again.
With the TWAIN architecture there is no way to reliably detect the presence of the other driver after using the first.
