The following command-line options are available for the System Configuration utility (Msconfig.exe) that is included with Windows Millennium Edition (Me):
  • /cleanup

    Usage: msconfig /cleanup

    This options start the Cleanup feature, which is available on the Startup tab, in Silent mode. No user interface is displayed when you use this switch.
  • path

    Usage: msconfig path

    This command starts the System Configuration utility by using system files contained in the folder you specify. For example, typing msconfig c:\temp starts the System Configuration utility by using system files contained in the C:\Temp folder.
If you attempt to start the System Configuration utility by typing msconfig /?, you receive the following error message:
The specified directory does not exist :
/?
The System Configuration utility does not contain a Help (or Usage) box. You typically access the Help by typing /? at the end of a command.
