Cannot Enter Numbers in Web Pages Viewed with Web TV for Windows (261537)

When you use Microsoft WebTV for Windows to enter numbers in a field on a Web page, the WebTV channel selector browser may enter the numbers as a new TV channel.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you use the number keys on the top row of the keyboard. When you enter numbers using the number keys located on the top row of the keyboard, WebTV for Windows assumes you are entering a new TV channel.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, you should use the numbers on the numeric keypad, located on the right side of your keyboard.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
