In the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) namespace, you cannot put focus onto an installed camera or picture icon using the keyboard. However, once you highlight the icon, you can navigate to the various options using the TAB key.
WORKAROUND
To workaround this issue, use the MouseKeys Accessibility Option to change the icon selection with the keyboard.
To Install Accessibility Options- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs, and then click the Windows Setup tab.
- Select Accessibility, click the Details button, click to select the Accessibility Options check box, and then click OK.
- Click Apply, and then click OK.
To Enable MouseKeys Accessibility Option- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Accessibility Options.
- Click the Mouse tab, and then click to select the Use MouseKeys option.
- Click Apply, and then click OK.
In the status area of the taskbar, you should see a transparent mouse icon indicating that MouseKeys is enabled. When you enable the MouseKeys option, you can move the cursor using the numeric keypad. Use the keypad numbers to position the mouse over the other icon in the WIA namespace.
Note: All of the numbers on the keypad move the cursor in a direction relative to their position to the number 5 key.
Then use the PLUS (+) key to select the icon. You can then use the TAB key to get to the various options.
