To make the Add/Remove Programs tool easier to find, and to improve disk and file management capabilities, Windows Millennium Edition lets you access the Add/Remove Programs tool by either of the following methods:

Method 1: Control Panel

As with previous version of Windows, you can access the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel.
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. In Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.

Method 2: Web View

The Web View pane in My Computer or Windows Explorer in Windows Millennium Edition features commonly used links. When you use My Computer or Windows Explorer to view the default system drive or the Program Files folder, you have a link to the Add/Remove Programs tool in the Web View pane.

Removing Shortcuts

When you attempt to remove a shortcut for a registered installed program, you receive a Confirm Shortcut Delete dialog box that contains a link to the Add/Remove Programs tool.
