BUG: Setting/Deleting Mail Header Properties Does Not Update the MIME Stream (260787)

When using WebDAV or ExOleDB to update mail header properties which were generated from the MIME steam, the MIME stream may not be not updated to reflect the new values. The properties can still be modified, but the MIME stream will not reflect the changes.
CAUSE
The component on the Exchange side which would promote the modified properties back to the MIME stream does not have the right to do so after the item has been created.
RESOLUTION
This behavior cannot be changed without adverse effects for clients. The workaround is to set the properties as the item is created.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
