Cannot use the Move/Copy button to move or to copy between private and public folders in Outlook Web Access (260569)

SYMPTOMS

If you use Outlook Web Access (OWA) to log on to Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server or to Exchange Server 2003 with your browser, you may notice the following issue. If you click a message in the private store and then click the Move/Copy button, the Public Folder list is not displayed. You cannot move or copy items between the private and public stores.

If you try to drag a message from a private folder to a public folder, or vice-versa, in Exchange 2000 OWA, you may receive the following error message:
Outlook Web Access does not currently support this type of move/copy action.


If you try to drag a message from a private folder to a public folder, or vice-versa, in Exchange 2003 OWA, you may receive the following error message:
Moving or copying items between Exchange servers is not supported.

STATUS
