XADM: Nordic Settings and the Windows 2000 Active Directory Connector (260552)

SYMPTOMS

When you install the Active Directory Connector (ADC) that is included with Microsoft Windows 2000 on a computer that is using Norwegian as the Locale default, the Exchange options are missing from the Users and Computers snap-in.

CAUSE

This problem is caused by the ADC Setup program.

WORKAROUND

Change the regional settings in Control Panel to English (United States), and then reinstall the ADC.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Windows 2000 ADC.

MORE INFORMATION

This behavior has been corrected in the Exchange 2000 Server version of the ADC and in the Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP1) version of the ADC.

This problem applies to all Windows 2000 computers that are using Nordic locales.
