PRJ2000: Signed Project Error When You Exit Microsoft Project (260428)

When you quit Microsoft Project, you may receive the following error message:
You have modified a signed project. You do not have the right key to sign this project. The signature will be discarded.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs the first time a change is made to the default VBA project in the Microsoft Project 2000 global template (Global.mpt). The message described in the "Symptoms" section indicates that a default VBA project that contained a Digital Certificate has been modified.
For example, you will see this behavior if you do either of the following: - You quit Microsoft Project 2000 after upgrading the global template from a Microsoft Project 98 global template, and the Microsoft Project 98 global template contained macros or user forms.

- You quit Microsoft Project 2000 after recording or creating a new macro or user form to be stored in the Global.mpt file, and the new macro or user form is the first macro or user form you added to the Global.mpt file since installing Microsoft Project 2000.
RESOLUTION
When you click OK to the error message described in the "Symptoms" section, the Digital Certificate is removed from the VBA project in Global.mpt, but no data is lost. The global template is not damaged, and you will not receive this error again.
