PhD2: Error Message: Photodrw.exe Has Generated Errors and Will Be Closed by Windows (260379)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to download pictures from a digital camera, you may receive the following error message:
Photodrw.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
You will need to restart the program.

An error log is being created.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if you do not select any pictures in the preview pane before you click Download.

NOTE: This issue has only been reported on Microsoft Windows 2000-based computers.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, click to select at least one picture in the preview pane before you click Download.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft PhotoDraw 2000, version 2.0.
