SUMMARY

When you select the Advanced Menus command in Microsoft Picture It! 2000, you gain access to two additional commands that are unavailable elsewhere in the program.

NOTE: Microsoft recommends that you turn off menu previews if you select the Advanced Menus command.

How to Select the Advanced Menus Command

To select the Advanced Menus command:
  1. Click the View menu.
  2. Click Advanced Menus to place a check mark next to the command.
The following commands are added to the File menu:
  • Find Pictures: On the File menu, point to Cataloging, and then click Find Pictures.
  • Change Descriptions: On the File menu, point to Cataloging, and then click Change Descriptions.
These commands give you the ability to find pictures in the Picture It! 2000 Catalog and to add or change the descriptions of pictures in the Picture It! Catalog.

The Advanced Menus command also adds the following menus to the menu bar. These menus duplicate commands that are available on the Workbench tab and the Projects tab:
  • Text
  • Cutouts & Pictures
  • Effects
  • Projects

How to Turn Off Menu Previews

To turn off menu previews:
  1. Click the View menu.
  2. Click Menu Previews to remove the check mark next to the command.
The pictures that illustrate each command are no longer displayed.
