This article was previously published under Q260281 SYMPTOMS When you try to scan a document with a Canon CanoScan
scanner, you may receive either of the following error messages:
TWAIN internal error. The device encountered an internal
error. Cannot open communication port. Another application may be
using port.
Scanner drive will be closed. Selected TWAIN driver
could not be enabled. CAUSE This behavior may occur if the driver for the CanoScan
scanner is outdated. RESOLUTION To resolve this behavior, download and install the
CanoCraft CS-P version 3.7.0 driver for the CanoScan FB 630P scanner. To do this, visit the
following Canon Web site:
