BUG: Agent Profile Check Box "Change all existing Agents.." Does Not Change Existing Agents (260276)

SYMPTOMS

When the Agent Profile check box "Change all existing [AgentName] Agents to use the selected profile" is selected and the Profile wizard is closed, existing agents are not changed.

WORKAROUND

You must perform Agent profile changes for each agent. You can modify each agent by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Replication Monitor.
  2. Expand the Agents folder.
  3. Click the appropriate agent folder. (For example, Snapshot, Log reader, Distribution, or Merge.)
  4. Right-click the agent from right window pane.
  5. Click agent profiles.
  6. Select the correct profile and then click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 7.0.
