SYMPTOMS

After you install a build of Microsoft Internet Explorer that was developed by using Microsoft Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK), software publishing certificates that were specified in the build may not appear.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you run the IEAK Wizard on a Windows NT-based computer that is running a Windows NT 4.0 service pack 4 later than Service Pack 3.

RESOLUTION

Run the IEAK Wizard on a Windows NT-based computer that is running Service Pack 3.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
