SYMPTOMS
When you use the Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 Maintenance Plan wizard to create a job, and the job takes more than an hour to run, the duration information in the Maintenance Job history may not be correct. The following example illustrates the problem:
Actual Job Duration Duration in Maintenance Plan History
3600 seconds 0 minutes, 0 seconds
3601 seconds 3600 hours, 0 minutes, 1 seconds
3699 seconds 3660 hours, 1 minutes, 39 seconds
7200 seconds 7200 hours, 0 minutes, 0 seconds
WORKAROUND
This is only a problem in the Database Maintenance Plan wizard job history. The duration appears correctly in the SQL Server Agent job history.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
