XADM: Exchange 2000 Eseutil Dumps LGPOS Generation Value in Hexadecimal Format (258548)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
This article was previously published under Q258548 SUMMARY
When you use the eseutil /mk command to dump the contents of the Exx.chk checkpoint file, the first parameter returned in the Checkpoint field represents the next log file to be committed (referred to as log position, or LGPOS). In Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5, this value is returned as a decimal value, and must be manually converted to hexadecimal format (to identify the currently committed log file).
However, in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server, this value is returned in hexadecimal format, so no further conversion is required to identify the currently committed log file.
