Office Web Components display one of the following Cross Domain warning messages when accessing data from a domain other than the one from which the Web page originates:
This page accesses data on another domain. Do you want to allow this?


This Web site uses a data provider that may be unsafe. If you trust the Web site, click OK, otherwise click Cancel.
To avoid this message in Microsoft Internet Explorer, you can add a secure Web site to your Trusted Sites zone on the Security tab of the Internet Options dialog box.

MORE INFORMATION

The purpose for the alert is to prevent a Web page author from directing users to a potentially malicious page that uses the security context of the user to access data for which the author does not have access.

If the Web page comes from a source that you trust, you can turn off this warning.

Using Internet Explorer 4.0

  1. In Internet Explorer 4.0, click View, and then select Internet Options.
  2. Click to select Trusted Sites zone on the Security tab in the zone settings.
  3. Click the Add Sites button.
  4. Add the URL for the site from which the Web page originates.

Using Internet Explorer 5

  1. In Internet Explorer 5, on the Tools menu, click to select Internet Options.
  2. On the Security tab, click to select Trusted Sites in the Web content zone.
  3. Click the Sites button.
  4. Add the URL for the site from which the Web page originates.
