Cannot Run FrontPage Express After Upgrading to Windows 2000 (258454)

SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade to Windows 2000, you may encounter the following issues:
  • Microsoft FrontPage Express does not appear on the Start menu.
  • FrontPage Express does not appear as an available HTML editor in the Microsoft Internet Explorer settings.
  • You receive the following error message when you click Edit With on the Internet Explorer toolbar:
    Cannot find FPXPRESS.EXE error

CAUSE

When you upgrade a computer that has FrontPage Express installed, Windows 2000 removes FrontPage Express.

RESOLUTION

Obtain a later version of FrontPage, such as Microsoft FrontPage 2000, or use another HTML editor.
