When you download files from the Internet, Internet Explorer ignores the content-type header. Instead, it displays the Save As dialog box.
CAUSE
Internet Explorer is RFC compliant, but does not take into account some deviations that are allowed within the specification.
RESOLUTIONA supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. To resolve this problem, contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the fix.
