Baseball 2001: Colors on the Screen Appear Blotchy or Distorted (258404)

When you play Microsoft Baseball 2001, colors on the screen may appear
blotchy or distorted.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if a video adapter based on the Chromatic Research
Mpact 2 3DVD chip set is installed in your computer.
The Mpact 2 3DVD chip set does not support alpha blending.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, disable 3D hardware acceleration in
Baseball 2001:
- Start Baseball 2001.
- On the Home Plate screen, click Options.
- Click the Graphics tab.
- Under Mode, click Software.
- Click OK.
