PRJ2000: Unexpected Values When You Update Task That Has Task Calendar (258273)

In Microsoft Project, when you type a value in the one of the following task fields
- Actual Work
- Actual Duration
- Percent Complete
- Percent Work Complete
- Stop
or you type a value in the one of the following resource fields
- Actual Work
- Percent Work Complete
Microsoft Project calculates an unexpected value for the field that you edited, and for one or more of the other listed fields.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when all of the following conditions are true:
- The task has a task calendar assigned.
- At least one resource is assigned to the task.
- The working hours in the task calendar are different from those in the assigned resource's calendar.
- The intersection of the task and resource calendars results in the resource being assigned fewer hours per day than the resource's calendar alone allows.
- You type a value in the one of the fields listed in the "Symptoms" section of this article.
NOTE: The related assignment-timephased fields for the task, such as period-by-period assignment Actual Work, are also incorrect when these conditions are true. However, the problem does not occur when you type values directly in the assignment-timephased fields.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, retype the same value that you previously typed. All of the fields, including assignment-timephased values, then recalculate correctly.
If you do not discover the problem immediately, or cannot remember what value you originally typed, you can instead determine the correct value for any of the listed fields, and type the correct value into that field. All of the fields then recalculate correctly.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
