MNK Pro: The Sleep button starts the screen saver instead of switching to Sleep mode (258097)

When you press the Sleep hot key on one of the Microsoft keyboards listed in the "Applies To" section, the screen saver may start unexpectedly. Additionally, the computer may not enter Sleep mode.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:
- The keyboard is connected to a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer.
- Hibernation mode is disabled in the Power Options tool in Control Panel.
- Your computer does not support hibernation mode.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the Power Options tool in Control Panel to select a power scheme that enables hibernation mode:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Power Options.
- Click the Hibernate tab, and then click to select the Enable hibernate support check box.
NOTE: If the Hibernate tab is not available, your computer does not support this feature. - Click the APM tab, and then click to select the Enable Advanced Power Management support.
- Click Apply.
- If you are prompted to restart the computer, click No.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- In the When I press the sleep button on my computer box, click Hibernate.
- Click OK.
- Restart the computer.
