Replicated Object May Not Be Recognized by Domain Controller (258057)

SYMPTOMS

If you create a trusted domain object (TDO) while a domain controller is not available and a replication attempt is made to that domain controller during startup, the replicated TDO cannot be seen by the Local Security Authority (LSA) on that domain controller until the controller is restarted.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 1.
