Windows 2000 Resource Kit Rdpclip Utility Is Missing Files (257987)

SYMPTOMS

The 16-bit versions of the files for the Rdpclip utility are missing from the Windows 2000 Resource Kit. Without these two files, the Rdpclip utility does not work correctly with the 16-bit client.

CAUSE

The missing files are:

Fxfr.dll
Rdpdr.dll

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, download the corrected version of the Rdpclip utility from the following Microsoft FTP site:

ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/reskit/win2000

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
