OL: Outlook May Leave Messages in Your Outbox When Originally Composed by a Delegate (257913)

SYMPTOMS

Messages may be left in the sender's Outbox even after the message is sent by a delegate.

CAUSE

This problem can occur when a a sender's delegate composes a message, moves it to their Draft folder by clicking Move to Folder on the File menu, and then sends the message.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

Note that the Outlook 2000 fix can only be applied to Outlook 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1).
