OL2000: Hewlett-Packard Brio Keyboard Locks When You Receive E-mail (257747)

SYMPTOMS

If you use a Hewlett-Packard (HP) Brio keyboard with Outlook, the keyboard stops responding when you receive e-mail messages.

WORKAROUND

Choose one of the following actions to work around this issue:
  1. Remove the HP Extended Keyboard drivers from your computer:
    1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
    2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs, click the Install/Uninstall tab, click Hewlett-Packard Extended Keyboard in the list of programs, and then click Add/Remove.
    3. Click Yes if you receive a prompt, and then click OK.
  2. Unplug the keyboard, and then reconnect it. This procedure re-initializes the keyboard drivers.
